Welcome...
From the wild Black Country of the English Midlands come the kings of Black Country & Western:
Highway Dave and the Varmints! These guys take the roots of bluegrass, the twang of Nashville, and add the odd thrashville for good measure. Influences such as Johnny Cash, The Byrds and Steve Earle are all mixed up with some Worcestershire sauce, a helluva rhythm section, chicken pickin' licks and distinctive harmony vocals to produce supercharged country music for all music lovers.
No wonder their live act has won them so many fans, supporting such luminaries as Albert Lee And Hogan's Heroes, The Hacienda Brothers, Eve Selis Band, Hayseed Dixie and James Burton's TCB Band. Loved by many Country DJs across Europe, they are becoming regulars on the festival circuit with a set list of both moving original numbers and sincere doffs to the classics, and their humour and personality strongly adding to the show.
New Album - "Bucket Town"
Their new album "Bucket Town" is a glad, sad, mad and bad melee of emotions - these guys are super musicians and, incidentally, the album is masterfully recorded.
